Vitamin B3 niacin is an essential vitamin for your body, and it is just one of the eight water soluble types of B vitamins. Nearly all of the B vitamin classes will help the body convert carbohydrates into sugar or glucose, which can then be burned to produce energy. Also known as complex B vitamins, B3 niacin are essential in helping the body break down protein and fat.

Complex B vitamins also play an important role with maintaining muscle tone within the digestive tract, along with the health of the skin, nervous system, live, eyes, hair, and mouth. Even though a lot of people associate creative with the aspect of muscles and muscle tone, vitamin B3 niacin is as equally important – if not more important.

B3 niacin is also important with getting harmful or toxic chemicals out of the body. It can also help the body produce different sex and stress related hormones within the adrenal glands, among other parts of the body. The vitamin is also useful for helping with sexual dysfunction as well. This can be great news for those who have problems with pleasing their mate.

Also very effective with improving circulation, B3 niacin can also help to reduce cholesterol levels found in the blood. Even though vitamin B3 niacin is great as a stand alone supplement, it should also consumed with foods that contain protein, due to the fact that the body is able to convert the amino acid known as tryptophan into niacin.

The higher doses of B3 niacin, which are available only through prescription, have been proven to prevent and also improve a variety of different symptoms and ailments. Due to the high risk of toxicity, individuals should always consult with a doctor first, before they decide to start higher doses of B3 niacin.

There are also niacin skin care products that are being developed as well, which contain anti-aging products, helping to treat acne and also aid in the prevention of skin cancer. A lot of dermatologists expect that these products will become really popular over the next several years. Even though they are still in development stages, research has proven them to be very effective when compared to the other types of products.

The best sources for vitamin B3 niacin include beef, pork, turkey, beets, veal, fish, chicken, salmon, tuna, and peanuts. You can also get supplements that contain B3 niacin as well, which can give your body the amounts it needs. This is a very important vitamin, as it does a lot more for the body than most think. By consuming foods that contain it or taking the proper supplements – you’ll get the amount of B vitamins that your body needs on a daily basis.
Published with Blogomator

Yes you have six pack, killer abs. Bur are you sure you are healthy? Of course you can measure a person’s health on their outside appearance, but there are other ways of measuring how healthy you are aside from basing it on the midsection.

Weight of course, can tell is a person is healthy or not. But weight is also not the reliable. Doctors use body mass index or BMI to measure or judge a person’s size against weight. BMI is a calculation of kilograms/meter squared. A BMI between 18 to 25 is healthy. But someone who is very fit and muscular could have a BMI greater than 25. This would classify them ass overweight.

BMI is a useless indicator for people under 16. Instead of using the weigh and height ratio, what should be factored is the person’s age and potential for growth. An example would be if a child was gaining weight to quickly for their age or it they were not gaining enough weight or growing.

Body shape can also be an indicator of good health. Doctors are looking at waist measurements because they know that “apple-shape” people carry excess weight around their middle. These people can be at risk of obesity-related conditions such as heart disease. Be sure to measure your waistline. If your waistline is larger than 35 inches, you are at an increased risk of health problems like diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Paying attention to your waistline helps you to avoid unhealthy eating and increase mobility or <a href="https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001DD2D2Q?tag=keeping-fit-20&camp=0&creative=0&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=B001DD2D2Q&adid=1V3QZ8AY0QBF81VWM7FN&"target="_blank"rel="nofollow"title="Barrys Bootcamp Exercise System" >exercise.

Other health indicators would be the skin. Tan, freckles or moles that are odd shaped or growing, this probably mean an unhealthy skin. Tanning or sun exposure an age the skin and increase the risk of skin cancer. Use sunscreen and get a dermatologist opinion about spots and moles.

When brushing your teeth, check your spit. If there is blood, your gums may need attention. Bleeding gums indicate poor oral health and vitamin deficiencies. Gum disease may also be a sign of <a href="https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000UZFSSO?tag=keeping-fit-20&camp=0&creative=0&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=B000UZFSSO&adid=1CEAP1DP9YJ27Z518SDX&"target="_blank"rel="nofollow"title="Exercise Bikes" >cardiovascular problems. Blood on the toothbrush or dental floss is one of the earliest and most common sign of gingivitis. Gingivitis is preventable and reversible. Gums need undergo a through removal of plaque, improved daily oral hygiene practices, a good diet and nutritional supplements.

It is more than just bad breath. Gum problems can now be linked to heart disease, clogged arteries, stroke, premature birth, and diabetes. women who have preterm deliveries have more severe gum conditions with mothers with normal deliveries. People with gumdisease and tooth decay are almost twice as likely to die of heart attacks and almost three times as likely to have a stroke.

Also, feel your lips. If your lips are dry and chapped, it could signal to you that you are dehydrated, which is an unhealthy state for your body to be in. Dehydration can cause headaches and fatigue, as well as drain the moisture from your skin making it look old and dry.

Also watch out for your fingernails. Healthy fingernails and toe nails are strong, colorless and smooth. If they are yellowing, brittle, have ridges, crumbling and having white spots, then these are obvious signs that your nails are not healthy.

Nail problems can indicate viral, fungal, bacterial or yeast infection. It may also show abnormal levels of oxygen in the blood, kidney disease, thyroid disease or psoriasis and malnutrition or a vitamin deficiency.

You do not have to rely on six pack abs, biceps or lats to say something about your health and other people’s health. There are telltale signs that you should never ignore.
Published with Blogomator

Since the ancient times, Chinese have been drinking tea. They have believed and reported health benefits from tea. It has been used as a medicine in China for at least 4,000 years. Today, there are numerous studies showing evidences improvements in health attributed to tea drinking. More and more people drink tea for their health.

In the Journal of National Cancer Institute (published in 1994) they claimed that drinking tea has reduced the risk of esophageal cancer in Chinese men and women by a huge 60 percent. While, the University of Purdue researchers claimed that green tea can prevent the growth of some cancer cells. Tea has polyphenols that can reduce risk not only of esophageal cancer, but also gastric and skin cancers.

It can also help in the prevention or the spread of prostate cancer as discovered by the Center of Human Nutrition at UCLA. It can also protect the body against cancer brought about by smoking. Green tea and white tea are significant in fighting colon and lower stomach cancers.

Tea can also improve the ratio of good and bad cholesterol levels in your body. The same polyphenols help in preventing blood from clotting and are responsible in lowering cholesterol levels. Thus, drinking tea is a great help for heart disease patients.

These are not only the health benefits attributed to tea. According to Newcastle University’s Medicinal Plant Research Centre study, tea might also delay Alzheimer’s disease. While, University of Tokyo stated that tea may play a role against fighting AIDS.

Aside from cancer it can also be helpful in rheumatoid arthritis, <a href="https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000UZFSSO?tag=keeping-fit-20&camp=0&creative=0&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=B000UZFSSO&adid=1CEAP1DP9YJ27Z518SDX&"target="_blank"rel="nofollow"title="Exercise Bikes" >cardiovascular disease, infections, and impaired immune function. There are also new studies claiming green tea helping those who would like to lose weight. Those who drink caffeine and green tea tend to burn more calories that those consuming caffeine only.

Because of its ability to fight and destroy bacteria, green tea can even fight against tooth decay. It can kill dental plaque just as it can help prevent food poisoning. In the market, there are also deodorants and skin creams with the component of green tea in it.

How can something be this good?

The secret is the polyphenols, especially the epigallocatechin galleate or EGCG. ECGC is an anti-oxidant. This powerful anti-oxidant can kill or prevent the growth of cancer cells without harming the healthy tissue and cells. It also has flavonoids and catechins which are also anti-oxidants. It also has fluoride which is why it can fight tooth decay and helps control bad breath.

Different kind of teas has different levels on anti-oxidants. White tea has more anti-oxidants compared to other tea. Freshly brewed teas have more polyphenols than instant or bottled teas. Thus, freshly-brewed teas have more anti-oxidants than instant teas.

Caffeine is also present in tea. Caffeine levels or amount in brewed tea depends on the type of the tea. Black tea has higher amount of caffeine than green tea. The amount of caffeine also depends of length of time of brewing, and also on the water temperature. If the leaves are exposed to higher water temperature, more caffeine are drained from the leaves.

The American Diabetic Association reported that a cup of tea has an average of 40 mg. of caffeine. A cup of freshly brewed coffee has an average of 85 mg. of caffeine. An average of 350 mg. of caffeine consumption is still good for a healthy individual.

Currently, the only negative effect reported in drinking too much tea is insomnia. This would be because of the caffeine content of tea. So start brewing your tea, drink for your health.

When it comes to health drinks, among the most popular options are those with extracts of pomegranate fruit. This is because today, there are seemingly countless of studies that show how pomegranate fruit can bring about potential benefits to a person’s health.

Pomegranate is considered as one of the “earliest fruits” that have been cultivated by people in ancient civilizations. This came along with fruits as a grapes, figs, and olives which were known to be cultivated somewhere between 4000 B. C. E and 3000 B. C. E. What sets pomegranate fruit apart from others is that it became an emblem of fertility, rebirth, and health.

For the younger civilizations, pomegranate is considered as a “miracle drug for aging” because it is said to cure neuro-degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease as well as prevents the development of certain cancers, coronary diseases, and arthritis.

The “miracles” of pomegranate

If there were on fruit that is at its heights of its popularity nowadays, it would be the pomegranate. This fruit has continued to be popular because of its deep and purple-colored juice that is believed to be loaded with lots of antioxidants. The antioxidants—most people believe—would greatly them help in maintaining a smooth and wrinkle free skin and keep their blood platelets together to avoid development of certain diseases.

Today, because of its so–called anti-aging properties, pomegranate is being used not only in health drinks but also in other products. The following are some of the benefits that one can get when she or he used pomegranate juice as a health drink:

- Reduces risks of coronary and <a href="https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000UZFSSO?tag=keeping-fit-20&camp=0&creative=0&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=B000UZFSSO&adid=1CEAP1DP9YJ27Z518SDX&"target="_blank"rel="nofollow"title="Exercise Bikes" >cardiovascular diseases. People who use pomegranate juice as health drinks are expected to have lesser chances of having heart attacks and strokes. This is because experts believed that drinking pomegranate juice everyday could help in the improvement and normal blood flow to the heart. Also, because of its high antioxidant content, pomegranate can help keep bad cholesterol from forming that usually result to blot clots in the arteries.

- Prevents certain cancers. The very high levels of antioxidant called “flavenoids” in pomegranates are believed to be the major reason why it is effective in counteracting various cancer-causing radicals. Today, many experts are recommending pomegranate juice to their patients—especially to those who have breast cancer, skin cancer, and prostate cancer—because the properties in this fruit’s juice can help prevent the proliferation of cancer cells.

- Lessens the risks for terminal illnesses. People who are prone to diseases such as atherosclerosis, osteoarthritis, and diabetes are advised to use pomegranate juice as a health drink because the medicinal properties found in this fruit can help diminish the possibility of thickening and hardening of arterial walls as well as the damage in cartilage and joints.

- Rich in various vitamins and nutrients especially to pregnant women. Pomegranate juice is recommended as a good health drink for people of all ages are because it is a good and natural source of vitamins A, C and E. It is also good for pregnant women because it is a natural source of folic acid vital to the brain development of the fetus inside the womb.

Aside from reducing the possibilities of having premature babies, regular consumption of pomegranate juice can also protect the unborn baby from experiencing brain injuries and other neuro-related damages.

We all know that oxygen is a primary component that is needed for life. This very same oxygen, once inside of the body, becomes very reactive through certain molecules and will start to cause damage through the free radicals, which is known as oxidative stress. As an antioxidant, vitamin E will help to prevent this type of stress, which will prevent the cells from aging or sustaining any type of permanent damage as well.

Cholesterol, which is a fatty substance found in many foods, is absorbed by the body then transferred from the liver to be stored by tissue as fat. This is carried through the bloodstream by molecules known as LDL (Low Density Lipoproteins). When the LDL is oxidized, it reacts to the cholesterol and a fat substance known as plaque begins to get deposited on the artery walls, which causes the blood flow to stop.

Vitamin E will stop cholesterol from forming into plaque, which will allow the blood to flow properly. If you don’t use vitamin E, in this situation, the blood will stop flowing and the arteries will begin to get backed up. As most of us know, this is the main cause of heart attacks, high blood pressure, and other serious diseases.

Even though many researchers and doctors have linked vitamin E to preventing cancer, this hasn’t been conclusively proven. There are many doctors that have said in the past that vitamin E can indeed prevent cancer, although no documentation or proof has been given to back up such statements. We all know that it is a very important vitamin, regardless.

There are studies however, that have proven vitamin E to be very effective in protecting the skin against UV rays. Vitamin E has been shown on numerous occasions to shield the skin from the harmful rays of the sun, which as we all know, can lead to skin cancer. If you include sources of vitamin E, or supplements in your diet you can help to prevent the damage of UV rays to your skin.

Along with these types of benefits, vitamin E can also protect against alzheimer’s disease and inflammation of the pancreas. This vitamin can also be very beneficial with reducing scars, and healing many types of burns and wounds. Included in your diet, vitamin E can help your skin to heal from many discrepancies over time.

When included with vitamin C, vitamin E can be one of the most important vitamins for your body. It offers many different benefits, besides the ones listed above. You can find it in many different forms, including fruits and nuts. Fruits are excellent sources of vitamin E, especially oranges. Oranges have always been known to be rich in this vitamin, whether you are consuming whole oranges or just drinking orange juice. If you are drinking orange juice that contains pulp, you’ll be getting plenty of vitamin E in your diet.

All things aside, you should always make sure that you include vitamin E in your diet. Along with fruits and nuts, you can also find this vitamin plentiful in vegetables as well. You can include it into your diet, or take supplements that provide it. You should be getting around 1,000 mg of the vitamin a day, which isn’t hard to do if you eat the right foods. If you consume the right amount of vitamin E in your diet, you’ll notice that your body will perform much better – and you’ll be well protected against numerous diseases as well.
