I am now a retired Mental Health Nurse with time to reflect on the ups and downs, highs and lows, funny and sad even the magic or tragic. More importantly, time to remember and recall the privilege that was humbling in forming therapeutic relationships that I continue to treasure as memories, respect as events even when scary plus that I continue to learn from them. Yes, I had a job paid to talk and listen with more than the occasional coffee too! Well, that’s the introduction done see you later.

A fascinating and compelling read Mr Harvey provides a fascinating and compelling insight into the trials and challenges of working within the mental health service. His warmth and personable approach shine through in his writing. It is true to say that there is no better storyteller than one who has lived the tales that he is telling.
